Hazel is 66ft so plenty of room for 4-6 people. The beds can be configured into two doubles and two singles, or one double and four singles. There are two showers and toilets, central heating, 240V inverter powering a microwave, toaster, hairdryer, TV/DVD and radio.

Hazel is priced for six people, but you can apply an under occupancy reduction of £40 per person up to a maximum of two people. (If you have four people you can knock £80 off the price)

What’s happening with boat hire in 2021? We wish we knew!

Frustrating isn’t it.. We’d all love for this terrible Covid thing to be over and then we could get back to our lives, but we are all stuck going no where until the situation improves, and the Government tell us what we are allowed to do next.

As things stand, with the Government suggesting that booking holidays are a bit of a pipedream at the moment, we have decided that it is not prudent to release our prices or take any booking  – how can we? We don’t know how many people we can take a booking for (remember the rule of 6 last year?), when we will be allowed to open (last year it wasn’t until nearly July), how we will be allowed to open (last year it was two meters and then one meter and lets not forget track and trace), who knows what it will be this year and will we have Tiers?! With so many questions and so few answers, for the moment we just wait….. BUT don’t worry, as soon as we know what Boris and his buddies have decided the plan is this year, we will be leaping into action and open for business as quickly and as safely as we can.

Sadly at the end of October our hire season finishes for 2020 but our final week is half term week (23rd-30th October). Currently we still have Day Boat availability and if the weather and the virus holds, we can all enjoy the last of the fun and sunshine that the river Wey has to offer before we close again.

In line with the Government measures boats can only have a maximum of six people aboard. All boats are Anti Covid fogged before and after use, are cleaned thoroughly and have no inventory except a kettle, bottle opener, washing up liquid, j-cloth, small hand soap, toilet roll and binbags.

Midweek for 5 people £180 and £10 extra for the 6th person which would be the maximum people per boat booked. For availability and to book, please call 01483 421306.

To book a boat you must be over 25yrs old,  and a refundable security deposit of £150 (this can be done by card) must be left with us on the day of hire, and this will be returned to you on the safe, clean and tidy return on the boat on time (5.30pm) with no damage or third party claims against you.

In line with Government Covid 19 guide lines, we ask that you bring a face covering for use during your demonstration for yourself, and at least one other crew member. Currently as of 4th July bookings can be made up of two social households of any size. Please remember to follow all of the Covid 19 measures i.e. social distancing and washing hands/ sanitising and above all, have a lovely day out.

We are happy to provide you with –

Bottle opener, kettle, toilet rolls, matches, washing up liquid, jay-cloth and a small hand soap.

So please bring everything you will need for your day out with you, tea and hand towels, plates, glasses, cups, outside cushions to sit on, hand sanitiser and a spoon to stir your tea…. (We’re sure you’ll bring lots of other stuff as well) we know its a pain, but its just safer to avoid cross contamination and to protect our staff.

We will have cleaned and sanitised the boats in line with guidance before every hire to ensure your safety, but we would appreciate it if you could leave the boats tidy and your rubbish bag removed and tied at the end of your hire, and left on the bankside ready for swift removal to the bins.

Finally we can start our 2020 hire season, but its going to be a bit different from now on thanks to Covid 19.

We will be starting with our Day Boats from Saturday 4th July, and Holiday Boats will follow shortly after once we have read all the paperwork from the Government and British Marine, and we will also get the rowing boats and canoes back up and running just as soon as we can get everything in place to keep everyone safe, so please be patient, we are doing our best.

DAY BOATS – The dayboats will no longer have kitchen inventory aboard, so no crockery, glasses etc. We are removing them to reduce the risk of cross contamination for both customers and staff,  so hirers will need to bring anything they wish to use and perhaps bring picnics or book and visit the pubs in Guildford. We will leave a sanitised kettle and bottle opener aboard – we know that might cheer you up.

During your boat and lock demonstration our staff will wear a  face covering when appropriate social distancing can not be met, and we would be grateful to our hirers if they could bring and wear a face covering to wear under the same circumstances. We all need to do our bit and look after each other.

We are also trying to send forms for you to ‘e-sign’ to avoid pens and bits of paper but it remains to be seen how well Russ and Steve will adapt to this new system. (Fingers crossed!) To avoid handling cash, the security deposit of £150 per boat can now be left on a credit card for 2020.

We very much look forward to seeing you all again and have missed everyone-boaters, staff, customers, dogs…  Hoorah! We are open, roll on 4th July.
